After coming to terms with severe health problems I was referred to Mr Rafid Al-Mahfoudh as a self funding private patient. I was apprehensive due to the nature of the surgery required on my spine. From first contact to follow up consultations he was professional, courteous and gave a full caring service to myself taking into consideration how nervous I was. Very remiss of me not to share my experience earlier. I had been suffering from severe nerve pain radiating from my neck all the way down to my hand for 2 years. Following scans, X-rays and MRI, I had a two level ACDF and plate C4/5 and C5/6. Following surgery I had a neck brace for 6 weeks, slowly building up activities. It has taken 7 months but I am now pain free. I would highly recommend Mr Al-Mahfoudh and his team. The care I received from start to finish was outstanding. Thank you.

I was in daily pain from my back through to my leg and foot for over 8 months. After seeing Mr Al- Mahfoudh and being reassured about the proposed surgery, I went ahead with spinal surgery. I am glad to report that now, two weeks after surgery and following the given advice about wearing my back brace, my leg pain and foot pain has completely disappeared, although obviously there is a little back pain present from the surgery, as the bruising diminishes. I am so glad I saw Mr Al- Mahfoudh and took his advice.

After meeting Mr Al-Mahfoudh we discussed what the problem was and what he could do and what I wanted to get out of the end result. He booked me a appointment for surgery there and then which was in 2 weeks time. On the day of the surgery Mr -Alhfoudh came and saw me to see that I still wanted to go ahead and after surgery Mr- Alhfoudh came back to tell me that everything went as planned. I saw Mr -Alhfoudh in outpatient’s 2 weeks after my operation he was very pleased with the outcome and i was too. Being able to get back on with life without discomfort is something I have wanted for a while. All I can say to Mr -Alhfoudh is thank you for listening to me and agreeing to do the operation.

Mr Al-Mahfoudh was the only person willing to offer me a way back to my life which I had lost after a fall causing a severe injury to my spine. He successfully operated on my back, removing the damaged disc and inserting a titanium implant. I am slowly recovering and anticipate a full recovery. I will always be grateful to him.
